As we learn to acclimate to positive emotions and how wonderful they feel, we find ourselves increasingly unwilling to tolerate unhappiness again (we don’t like feeling bad for any other reason than it feels bad to feel bad).  We taste the sweetness of feeling happy and joyful more of the time, and we begin to do everything within our power to keep the energy flowing from moment to moment and day to day.  Of course this doesn’t mean we are in a great mood all the time.  The quest for joy becomes so dominant within us, however, that we do whatever it takes to keep ourselves in a good emotional space.  We no longer allow conditions outside our control –including golf shots – to negatively affect our attitudes and moods, since there can no longer be a moment in which we’ll want to live other than in a deeply centered and peaceful way.
